Not only do these two children find that their mother isn’t all that impressed to find her pantry filled with 100 boxes of cornflakes, but they don’t even get the free lion promised on the box when they send their coupons in. Everyone else gets a lion, but all they get is a grumpy old grizzly bear. How unfair is that?!
This wonderful picture book is filled with wry humour and is sure to have both parents and children laughing as the Cornflake Company tries over and over to compensate for running out of lions (the grizzly bear is followed by a cranky crocodile and a whacking great gorilla).
The wacky story by Michelle Robinson is accompanied by humour-filled illustrations by Jim Field. There's a Lion in my Cornflakes will strike a chord with every child who has ever dreamed of having their own lion, or bear, or crocodile, or gorilla, or maybe even a tiger and anyone who believes that you really can win something amazing by sending in the coupons from the back of the box.
